it is correct that there is V.A.Tax 13% in Leros island. It is a privilege from the Greek goverment.

By the way I have to inform you that all islands in the Dodecanese area (South-East Aegean Sea, f.e. Patmos, Leros, Kalymnos, Kos, Rhodes, Astypalaia etc.) have also this privilege for many services. The philosophy is that the greek state wants to help those islands to be more developed by giving -6% V.A.Tax. You know well that V.A.Tax in the other areas of Greece is 19%.
